The toe piece releases laterally. When the binding receives a strong lateral impact (depending on the DIN setting), the sides open as alpine bindings do. These sides have a 13 mm elasticity before the final release. Adjustment of the toe release is done the same way as in alpine bindings, both in the toe piece and in the heel piece, with the same DIN values ??of 5-12. There's no need to lock the toe piece when ascending; it has a position that stiffens it to prevent accidental releases when walking on moderate slopes or stumbling, but it releases in case of strong falls or if caught in an avalanche while ascending. The heel piece is mounted on a sliding guide, which maintains the distance when flexing the ski without compromising the safety of the release. It also allows for better ski flex, improving handling. The heel piece also offers up to 4 mm of elasticity before the vertical release. Changing the binding from ski mode to walk mode, and vice versa, is very simple and can be done on the go without removing the ski. The mounting design is wide, covering multiple sizes (approximately 25 mm range). The weight according to the manufacturer is 550 g per unit.
